OFSAA
The Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) is a competition of student athletes from grades 9-12 from all across Ontario. Since 2014, we have had multiple athletes go to OFSAA, many of them coming back with top 8 finishes. In 2023, after the COVID pandemic, we had the most athletes from USTC history compete in a majority of events at OFSAA. In 2024, Sayanthan Arulrajan broke the junior boy’s running long jump record with a jump of 7.17m, the old record from 2010 which was 7.09m.

International Championships
United Tamil Sports Club has 1 athlete, Banujan Kulainthiran, compete for Team Canada in NACAC (North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association) U18/U23 championships, in the men’s U18 triple jump. He snatched a silver medal with a jump of 14.92m, not too far behind the gold medalist. He is the first Canadian Tamil Youth to represent Canada on an international level and to win a medal.

National Championships
UTSC has competed at multiple national championships, including Bell Canadian Track and FIeld Championships (for age categories U20 and open), Legion National Track and Field Championships (for age categories U16 and U18), and Canadian Indoor Track and Field Championships (for age categories U16, u18, and U20). UTSC has travelled around Canada to compete and has come back home with over 20 medals, more than 10 of them being gold. There have been multiple occasions when our jumpers have risen to the occasion, having a podium sweep in the men’s triple jump, in multiple age categories.

AO Championships
United Tamil Sports Club has been a dominant force in provincial championships, run by Athletics Ontario. There have been athletes in the jumping, throwing, and sprinting fields. We have also had multiple athletes compete in the combined events (pentathlon and heptathlon). In 2024 during the indoor season, UTSC had earned the highest overall points (collected from top 8 finishes) in the U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, and U20 categories, the most recognition from each age group received.

Minor Track Association
UTSC has been a dominant force in the Minor Track Association (MTA) field. Over 100 of our athletes compete every year, both outdoor and indoor, in all events, for the top team position. Since 2012, UTSC has won the indoor championship trophy for the team with the highest points at the end of the 2-day competition. Since 2021, we have also won the outdoor championships with the highest points. Many of our athletes from UTSC have been recognized as “Athletes of Excellence” by the MTA as well as having multiple athletes set records over multiple age groups and events.
